Course Syllabus For Integrative Massage Therapy™

 

Lead Instructor: Dustin Fox, ACMT, LMT, RM, CIBF                                    

Class Convenes:    9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Everyday

Certificate(s) Awarded:  Therapists Receive A Certificate of Achievement and Certification of their Qualification to Practice Modality 

 General Public Attendees Receive a Certificate of Completion

Materials Needed: Note Paper & Pen, Water and Music that represents the personal peferences of the Atendee.

Description:  This interactive 25.5 contact hour course of instruction responds to the following subjects:                            

1. The Psychology of Stress – What they bring to the table
2. The Spirit / Mind / Body Connection
3. Music as Medicine 
4. The Practical Application of VAM – Hands on Training
5. The Acoustical Furnishing

Learning Outcome:    At the end of this course, the attendee will have completed the essential components pertaining to the application of the Integrative Massage Therapy technique.  

Learning Objectives:  Upon completion of lecture, demonstration, testing and hands on components, attendees will have:                

1)      A greater understanding of the effect of Accumulated Emotionally Reactive Stress on the physiology.                 

2)      The ability to define the role music can play in the relief of accumulated stress.

3)      An understanding of the value of proper music selection.

4)      Training in the use of and the effects derived from the use of the Acoustical treatment furnishings.

5)      Enhanced ability to effectively apply and integrate this modality into their practice.

Attendance Policy:  In order to receive a Certificate of Achievement, participants must attend all instructional sessions and return from breaks and lunch on time.

Requirements for a Certificate:  Participants will earn a Certificate of Achievement and transcripts at the conclusion of the course, when they have demonstrated competency in all presented areas relating to the application of the technique, as determined by the lead instructor.

This course has interactive lecture, demonstration and hands on components.
